=== Step 1: Speak with Arios the Battered ===

Speak with [[Arios the Battered]] near the bridge south of [[Forkwatch]].

He sends you to speak with the [[Chamberlain]] near the Kappa fortress.

=== Step 2: Speak with the Chamberlain ===

Travel to [[Sylhilthis' Dwell]] (NW).

The [[Chamberlain]] can be found on the bridge south of the Kappa fortress, on the east side of the bridge.

Speak with the [[Chamberlain]]. He asks you to defeat an escaped Kappa blacksmith.

=== Step 3: Defeat Blacksmith Kratak ===

Travel to [[West Plateau]], northwest of [[Arcadin]].

[[Blacksmith Kratak]] is usually found wandering south of the phantoms.

Defeat [[Blacksmith Kratak]], loot his hammer, and return to the [[Chamberlain]].

=== Step 4: Speak with Shrixiv ===

After returning the hammer, the [[Chamberlain]] sends you to [[Shrixiv]].

[[Shrixiv]] can be found in [[South Toxxulia]] (N), near the mud river.

Speak with [[Shrixiv]]. She sends you to [[Permafrost]] to defeat [[Magnar the Skald]].

=== Step 5: Defeat Magnar the Skald ===

Travel to [[Permafrost]].

[[Magnar the Skald]] usually spawns on the frost giant floor, across from the invisible wall leading toward [[Lady Vox]]. He may also appear in the side halls leading toward [[Warlord Kraven]].

Defeat [[Magnar the Skald]], loot the required item, and return to [[Shrixiv]].

=== Step 6: Defeat Oracle Frish ===

[[Shrixiv]] sends you to [[Lavastorm Mountains]] to defeat [[Oracle Frish]].

[[Oracle Frish]] is near the fort where the general is located. Follow the path from the gnome area toward the fortress.

Defeat [[Oracle Frish]], loot the memory stone, and return to [[Shrixiv]].

=== Step 7: Defeat Varae the Chronicler ===

[[Shrixiv]] sends you to defeat [[Varae the Chronicler]] in [[Tak'Xiz South]].

[[Varae the Chronicler]] has been found in [[Tak'Xiz South]] (SE), but may roam through other areas.

Defeat [[Varae the Chronicler]], loot the disheveled tome, and return to [[Shrixiv]].

After receiving the tome, [[Shrixiv]] despawns.

=== Step 8: Defeat Shrixiv ===

Travel to the Kappa fortress and go to the third level.

As you approach the room with the spiral staircase, an attackable version of [[Shrixiv]] will spawn.

This version of [[Shrixiv]] is a difficult encounter and requires a strong force.

Defeat [[Shrixiv]] and loot the required item.

After looting the item, walk near the spawn location to receive a pop-up that advances the quest.

Return to [[Arios the Battered]] in [[Forkwatch]].

=== Step 9: Speak with Malsis ===

[[Arios the Battered]] sends you to [[Freeport]] to speak with [[Malsis]].

[[Malsis]] is a magician located in the caster guild in [[Freeport]].

Speak with [[Malsis]]. He sends you to defeat a [[Rune Dervish]] in [[Elemental Towers]].

=== Step 10: Defeat the Rune Dervish ===

Travel to [[Elemental Towers]] and search the desert areas.

The [[Rune Dervish]] can spawn in random locations, so you may need to search the zone.

Defeat the [[Rune Dervish]], loot the required item, and return to [[Malsis]].

Bring 15,000 Tunar with you when returning to [[Malsis]].

Pay [[Malsis]], then return to [[Arios the Battered]].

=== Step 11: Recover the Rallosian Insignia ===

[[Arios the Battered]] sends you to [[Envar]] to recover a [[Rallosian Insignia]].

The [[Rallosian Insignia]] is a random drop from enemies inside the [[Envar]] complex.

Farm enemies inside the complex until the insignia drops. Light blue enemies on the ground floor can be used for this step.

Return the [[Rallosian Insignia]] to [[Arios the Battered]].

=== Step 12: Defeat Dresk and Starn ===

[[Arios the Battered]] sends you back to [[Envar]] to defeat two named enemies:

* [[Dresk the Lost]]
* [[Starn the Aimless]]

[[Dresk the Lost]] is usually found in [[Envar]] (W) or [[Envar]] (S).

[[Starn the Aimless]] is usually found in [[Envar]] (SE) or [[Envar]] (E).

Both enemies roam outside the main complex.

Defeat [[Dresk the Lost]] and [[Starn the Aimless]], loot their tomes, and return to [[Arios the Battered]].

=== Step 13: Defeat Overseer Durekar ===

[[Arios the Battered]] sends you to defeat [[Overseer Durekar]].

Before leaving, make sure all required quest items are in your inventory and not in your bank. If the items are in your bank, you may not receive the required pop-up later.

[[Overseer Durekar]] usually spawns in the elemental or construct areas of [[Geomancer's Citadel]].

Defeat [[Overseer Durekar]].

After he dies, walk around the area where he was defeated until you receive a pop-up.

The pop-up directs you to the bridge in [[Geomancer's Pass]].

=== Step 14: Speak with Archon Seradesh ===

Travel to [[Geomancer's Pass]] (C).

Approach the bridge from the south side. As you walk across the bridge, [[Archon Seradesh]] will spawn.

Speak with [[Archon Seradesh]], then return to [[Arios the Battered]].

=== Step 15: Return to Arios the Battered ===

Return to [[Arios the Battered]] in [[Forkwatch]].

Speak with him to complete the quest and receive 56,000,000 XP and a class-specific reward.
