== Before You Begin ==

This quest requires you to receive pop-ups at the shrine.

If you cannot receive the shrine pop-up, make sure the [[Totem of Kejan]] is in your inventory and not in your bank.

== Walkthrough ==

=== Step 1: Speak with the Prophet of Kumaj ===

Speak with the [[Prophet of Kumaj]] in [[Kerra Isle]] (SE) to begin the quest.

The [[Prophet of Kumaj]] can be found on the rune hill near the large white arches and bones.

He gives you the [[Totem of Kejan]] and instructs you to bring it to a shrine located to the south.

=== Step 2: Find the Shrine ===

Travel to [[Abysmal Sea]] (S).

The shrine can be found near the coast between the two fishing villages. It is made up of several monoliths surrounded by dryads.

Approach the shrine with the [[Totem of Kejan]] in your inventory to receive a pop-up.

=== Step 3: Defeat the Renegade Merman ===

The shrine instructs you to defeat a [[Renegade Merman]] who has been killing Kerran fishermen.

The [[Renegade Merman]] can be found west of the shrine, swimming near one of the two Kerra fishing ports.

Defeat the [[Renegade Merman]], loot the required item, and return to the shrine.

=== Step 4: Defeat the Clan Kobold Battlemaster ===

After returning to the shrine, another pop-up instructs you to defeat the [[Clan Kobold Battlemaster]].

The [[Clan Kobold Battlemaster]] is located in the kobold cave in [[The Warrens]] (W).

When entering the kobold cave, turn right. The [[Clan Kobold Battlemaster]] spawns in the first large room on the right. His placeholder is located at the back of the room in an alcove with barrels.

Defeat the placeholder until the [[Clan Kobold Battlemaster]] spawns.

Defeat the [[Clan Kobold Battlemaster]], loot the required item, and return to the shrine.

'''Note:''' The [[Clan Kobold Battlemaster]] and [[Minion of Krrgar]] have similar spawn timers, usually around 30–60 minutes, though they may take much longer. Since both are required for this quest, it is recommended to farm both while you are in the cave.

=== Step 5: Farm the Minion of Krrgar Early ===

The [[Minion of Krrgar]] is needed later in this quest, but can be farmed while working on the [[Clan Kobold Battlemaster]] step.

To find the [[Minion of Krrgar]], turn left when entering the kobold cave. Continue through the first few chambers. Instead of following the path down toward the king, turn right.

The [[Minion of Krrgar]] can be found in an alcove on the right.

He cons blue to level 60 and has a Necromancer pet. Soloing him is not recommended.

If the [[Minion of Krrgar]] is not up, defeat his placeholder until he spawns.

=== Step 6: Collect Three Kappa Defiler Staves ===

After the [[Clan Kobold Battlemaster]] step, the shrine instructs you to collect three [[Kappa Defiler Staff]] items and return them to the [[Prophet of Kumaj]].

[[Kappa Defiler]] spawns in the basement of the Kappa Citadel in [[Sylhilthis' Dwell]].

To reach the basement, enter the citadel and go into the first room on your right. Take the ramp downward.

The [[Kappa Defiler]] spawns in the center of the basement room.

Only one [[Kappa Defiler]] spawns at a time, with a spawn time of roughly two hours. Since three staves are required, this step may take a long time.

Defeat [[Kappa Defiler]] mobs until you have three staves.

'''Warning:''' [[Kappa Defiler]] mobs are Necromancers and can be difficult to solo. Bringing help is recommended.

=== Step 7: Return to the Prophet of Kumaj ===

Return to the [[Prophet of Kumaj]] in [[Kerra Isle]] with the three [[Kappa Defiler Staff]] items.

He thanks you for the staves and sends you back to the shrine.

=== Step 8: Collect Kerran Shaman Remains ===

Return to the shrine in [[Abysmal Sea]].

The shrine instructs you to recover the remains of Kerran Shamen from [[Pirate Graverobber]] mobs.

You need three sets of remains.

[[Pirate Graverobber]] mobs can be found in southeast Odus on the same islands as the ratmen. From [[Stone of Morthalis]], travel northeast and search the small islands around the main ratmen fortress in [[Cape Dreg]], as well as the island with the indigo pirate camp.

[[Pirate Graverobber]] mobs only melee and are not difficult to solo.

Defeat [[Pirate Graverobber]] mobs until you have all three sets of remains.

=== Step 9: Return to the Prophet of Kumaj ===

Return to the [[Prophet of Kumaj]] with the three sets of Kerran Shaman remains.

He then instructs you to seek out [[Othmet]] and return with his loot.

=== Step 10: Defeat Othmet ===

[[Othmet]] can be found throughout [[South Toxxulia]], usually in the west or south sections. He may also appear near the mud river.

[[Othmet]] spawns frequently.

He is a Necromancer, so bringing assistance is recommended.

Defeat [[Othmet]], loot the required item, and return to the [[Prophet of Kumaj]].

=== Step 11: Obtain the Staff from Minion of Krrgar ===

The [[Prophet of Kumaj]] now sends you to obtain a staff from the [[Minion of Krrgar]].

If you already farmed the [[Minion of Krrgar]] while working on the [[Clan Kobold Battlemaster]] step, return to the [[Prophet of Kumaj]] with the staff.

If not, return to the kobold cave in [[The Warrens]] (W).

When entering the cave, turn left and pass through the first few chambers. Instead of following the path down toward the king, turn right.

The [[Minion of Krrgar]] can be found in an alcove on the right. He has a placeholder and may take several hours to spawn.

Defeat the [[Minion of Krrgar]], loot the staff, and return to the [[Prophet of Kumaj]].

=== Step 12: Speak with the Alignment NPC ===

After returning to the [[Prophet of Kumaj]], he sends you to the same NPC used during the [[Kerra Isle 53]] quest.

Good-aligned players should speak with [[General Talya]] in [[Arcadin]].

Evil-aligned players should speak with [[Slave Trader Dunbarr]] in [[Stone of Morthalis]].

Speak with the proper NPC to continue the quest.

=== Step 13: Purchase the Statue from the Erudite Courier ===

After speaking with your alignment NPC, travel to [[Highbourne]] and find the [[Erudite Courier]].

The [[Erudite Courier]] is located near the bridge in [[Qeynos Prison]] (S).

Purchase the statue from the [[Erudite Courier]] for 10,770 Tunar.

=== Step 14: Return to the Prophet of Kumaj ===

Return to the [[Prophet of Kumaj]] in [[Kerra Isle]] with the statue.

Speak with him to complete the quest and receive 56,000,000 XP and a class-specific item.

* The [[Totem of Kejan]] must be in your inventory to receive shrine pop-ups.
* The [[Clan Kobold Battlemaster]] and [[Minion of Krrgar]] can be farmed during the same trip.
