Walkthrough

This is the third level 47 quest from Grimm Brellhand in Gramash Ruins. After his hammer breaks his anvil, Grimm Brellhand asks players to help create a new one from Thulite.

Walkthrough

Step 1: Speak with Grimm Brellhand

Speak with Grimm Brellhand in Gramash Ruins to begin the third quest.

He explains that his hammer broke his anvil and that he needs to make a new one from Thulite.

Step 2: Defeat the Dark Elf Miner

Travel to Cazic Thule (N) and return to the temple used during the first Gramash Ruins quest.

Enter the temple and move down inside.

Travel around the right side of the pyramid and locate the Dark Elf Miner.

Defeat the Dark Elf Miner and loot the Mining Log.

Return to Grimm Brellhand with the Mining Log.

Step 3: Defeat Maerik N'Toxis

After receiving the Mining Log, Grimm Brellhand sends you to Guk to find Maerik N'Toxis.

Maerik N'Toxis is located in the castle at the bottom of the froglok cave.

Invisibility can be used to reach the area, but avoid Fungal Elder mobs, as they can see through invisibility.

Use the same route used during the level 45 ambassador quest to reach the area near the ambassador. Maerik N'Toxis spawns on the top floor of the building.

The top floor has four spawns. The placeholder for Maerik N'Toxis is the mob on the right side near the ramp leading downward.

Defeat the placeholder until Maerik N'Toxis spawns.

Defeat Maerik N'Toxis and loot his scroll.

Note: Maerik N'Toxis may have a very long spawn time, ranging from 1 to 10 hours.

Step 4: Return to Grimm Brellhand

Return to Grimm Brellhand with the scroll.

He cannot read it and sends you to have it translated.

Step 5: Translate the Scroll

Travel to Highpass Hold and locate Feldink Shortquill.

Feldink Shortquill can be found on the second floor of the tower where Lord Voriander is located.

Pay Feldink Shortquill 3,000 Tunar to translate the scroll.

Return to Grimm Brellhand with the translated scroll.

Step 6: Obtain Golem Parts

After reading the translation, Grimm Brellhand explains that you must reanimate the Thulite Golem.

To do this, you need two parts from Golem Protector mobs:

• Golem Protector's Hunk
• Golem Protector's Chunk

Travel to Tak'Xiv (SW).

From Oasis, swim west along the river until you see a dock near the House of D'Narus. Continue swimming until you see a broken bridge, then travel south.

Step 7: Defeat the Golem Protectors

The Golem Protector mobs spawn inside the hut on the walkway.

They are level 48 or 49 and do not see through invisibility.

The two golems can be pulled one at a time. Stand on the left side of the doorway and inch out until only one of the two golems is visible. Pull it back to the platform and defeat it.

Do not loot immediately. Defeat the second Golem Protector, then loot both corpses for Golem Protector's Hunk and Golem Protector's Chunk.

Step 8: Reanimate the Thulite Golem

With both golem parts, walk toward the inactive Thulite Golem.

A pop-up will appear asking if you want to place the parts into the golem.

Accept the prompt to activate the Thulite Golem.

The Thulite Golem is level 50 and will immediately attack.

Defeat the Thulite Golem and loot the Huge Chunk of Thulite.

The Thulite Golem drops four Huge Chunk of Thulite items.

Step 9: Return to Grimm Brellhand

Return to Grimm Brellhand with the Huge Chunk of Thulite.

Speak with him to complete the quest and receive XP and a class-specific item.
