About EQOA: Sandstorm Wiki

      EQOA: Sandstorm is the first and currently the only public EverQuest Online Adventures server since the official servers shut down in 2012. Built around the classic Level 60 era, Sandstorm offers a reimagined vision of EQOA that preserves the spirit of the original game while expanding the world through new systems, adventures, and future content.
       The project began in late 2020, when no fully functional open-source server existed. Developed independently from scratch by Xylof, Sandstorm was made possible through years of research, restoration efforts, and contributions from the EQOA community.
       Players can experience EQOA: Sandstorm using either the PCSX2 emulator or original PlayStation 2 hardware.
