Walkthrough

This is the Paladin Exemplar quest. Players are tested through justice and protection before choosing between the path of Justice or the path of Mercy.

Important: Players may only choose one path. Once a path is chosen, the decision cannot be undone.

Walkthrough

Step 1: Speak with Priest of Marr

Speak with Priest of Marr in Qeynos to begin the quest.

The Priest of Marr sends you to speak with Exemplar Zarakiel in Diren's Village.

Step 2: Speak with Exemplar Zarakiel

Travel to Diren's Village and speak with Exemplar Zarakiel.

Exemplar Zarakiel asks you to kill bandits and collect six Bandit Sash items.

Step 3: Collect Bandit Sashes

Kill bandits and collect the following quest items:

• Bandit Sash x6

After collecting all six Bandit Sash items, return to Exemplar Zarakiel.

Step 4: Return to Exemplar Zarakiel

Return to Exemplar Zarakiel with the six Bandit Sash items.

After the turn-in, Exemplar Zarakiel sends you back to the Priest of Marr in Qeynos.

Step 5: Return to Priest of Marr

Return to Priest of Marr.

He sends you to speak with Exemplar Alesthenies for the next part of the quest.

Step 6: Speak with Exemplar Alesthenies

Speak with Exemplar Alesthenies.

Exemplar Alesthenies asks you to protect a group of villagers and escort them safely to their destination.

Step 7: Protect the Pilgrims

Speak with the Pilgrim Leader to begin the escort.

Stay close to the pilgrims and protect them during the journey.

The escort group includes:

• Pilgrim Leader
• Pilgrim Traveler
• Pilgrim Traveler

During the escort, an ambush will occur. Defeat the attackers and keep the pilgrims alive.

Step 8: Complete the Escort

After the pilgrims safely reach their destination, speak with the Pilgrim Leader to complete the escort.

Return to Exemplar Alesthenies.

Step 9: Return to Exemplar Alesthenies

Speak with Exemplar Alesthenies after completing the escort.

She sends you back to the Priest of Marr.

Step 10: Choose Your Path

Return to Priest of Marr in Qeynos.

At this point, you must choose one of two paths:

• Justice
• Mercy

Important: This choice is permanent and cannot be undone.

Path One: Justice

Step 11A: Choose Justice

Choose the Justice path.

The Priest of Marr sends you to speak with Zarakiel's Disciple.

Step 12A: Speak with Zarakiel's Disciple

Speak with Zarakiel's Disciple.

He asks you to continue proving your devotion to justice by offering bandit sashes at the Altar of Justice.

Step 13A: Earn Champions of Marr Faction

Turn in the required items at the Altar of Justice.

Faction gain:

• 4 items = 40 faction with Champions of Marr

Continue turn-ins until you reach 2,000 faction with the Champions of Marr.

Step 14A: Return to Zarakiel's Disciple

After reaching 2,000 faction with the Champions of Marr, return to Zarakiel's Disciple.

He sends you back to the Priest of Marr.

Step 15A: Claim the Justice Reward

Return to Priest of Marr.

Completing the Justice path unlocks the Heal Upgrade reward through a Class Master.

Path Two: Mercy

Step 11B: Choose Mercy

Choose the Mercy path.

The Priest of Marr sends you to Priestess Agilyna in Mu Lin's Reach.

Step 12B: Speak with Priestess Agilyna

Travel to Mu Lin's Reach and speak with Priestess Agilyna.

She asks you to gather prayer beads and offer them at the Reliquary of Mercy.

Step 13B: Earn Followers of Marr Faction

Turn in the required items at the Reliquary of Mercy.

Faction gain:

• 4 items = 40 faction with Followers of Marr

Continue turn-ins until you reach 2,000 faction with the Followers of Marr.

Step 14B: Return to Priestess Agilyna

After reaching 2,000 faction with the Followers of Marr, return to Priestess Agilyna.

She sends you back to the Priest of Marr.

Step 15B: Claim the Mercy Reward

Return to Priest of Marr.

Completing the Mercy path unlocks the Serenity reward through a Class Master.

Notes

• This quest is only available to Paladin players.
• Players must choose either the Justice path or the Mercy path.
• Once chosen, the path cannot be changed.
• The Justice path requires 2,000 faction with the Champions of Marr.
• The Mercy path requires 2,000 faction with the Followers of Marr.
