| EQOA: Sandstorm is the first and currently the only public <i>EverQuest Online Adventures</i> server since the official servers shut down in 2012. Built around the classic Level 60 era, Sandstorm offers a reimagined vision of EQOA that preserves the spirit of the original game while expanding the world through new systems, adventures, and future content.

| The project began in late 2020, when no fully functional open-source server existed. Developed independently from scratch by Xylof, Sandstorm was made possible through years of research, restoration efforts, and contributions from the EQOA community.
