Class-specific weapon or held item
Walkthrough
This quest rewards a class-specific weapon or held item from Witchdoctor Yurplag in the Plane of Disease. Players must farm four different insect boss spawns and collect one quest item from each before returning to Witchdoctor Yurplag. Tanks should have high Disease Resistance and Poison Resistance before attempting this quest.
Walkthrough
Step 1: Find Witchdoctor Yurplag
After entering the Plane of Disease from the Last House portal, travel north and take the first tunnel on the left.
Follow the tunnel to the end, then turn left. Continue around the mountain while staying high along the mountainside to avoid unnecessary wildlife aggro.
Continue forward until you reach another tunnel on the opposite side. Enter this tunnel and follow it through. Once you exit, turn right and continue staying high along the mountain.
Follow the mountain path for a long distance, eventually crossing to the opposite side. Continue along the high ground until you reach the tunnel leading into the Plane of Disease Weapon Quest area.
After exiting this final tunnel, Witchdoctor Yurplag can be found below.
Speak with Witchdoctor Yurplag to begin the quest.
Step 2: Gather the Required Items
Witchdoctor Yurplag asks you to collect four items from the insect monarchs and matriarchs found throughout the quest area.
Required items:
- Wax Dust from Moth Monarch
- Acidic Blood Bile from Locust Monarch
- Front Legs from Mantis Matriarch
- Mandibles from Millipede Matriarch
Each boss has its own farming area. These areas are separated by insect type, and each section has its own spawn cycle.
Step 3: Farm the Spawn Cycles
Each insect area begins with larvae spawns. These larvae con dark blue or light blue at level 60.
Defeat the larvae in the desired area until larger mid-tier insects begin to spawn. These mid-tier insects may con white, yellow, or red at level 60.
Continue killing the mid-tier insects until the monarch or matriarch for that area appears.
The full spawn cycle from larvae to boss can vary. It may take as little as 30 minutes or as long as two hours for a boss to appear.
Each boss drops two quest items, so multiple players may need to farm the same boss several times.
Step 4: Defeat the Locust Monarch
Begin with the locust area and clear the larvae until the spawn cycle advances.
Continue defeating the mid-tier locust spawns until Locust Monarch appears.
Defeat Locust Monarch and loot the Acidic Blood Bile.
Step 5: Defeat the Millipede Matriarch
Move clockwise to the millipede area.
Clear the larvae and mid-tier millipede spawns until Millipede Matriarch appears.
Defeat Millipede Matriarch and loot the Mandibles.
Step 6: Defeat the Moth Monarch
Move to the moth area and repeat the same farming process.
Defeat larvae until the mid-tier moth spawns appear, then continue clearing those enemies until Moth Monarch spawns.
Defeat Moth Monarch and loot the Wax Dust.
Step 7: Defeat the Mantis Matriarch
Move to the mantis area and continue the spawn cycle.
Clear larvae and mid-tier mantis enemies until Mantis Matriarch appears.
Defeat Mantis Matriarch and loot the Front Legs.
Step 8: Return to Witchdoctor Yurplag
Once you have collected all four required quest items, return to Witchdoctor Yurplag.
Turn in the items to complete the quest and receive your class-specific reward.
Spawn Notes
The boss spawn cycle can be inconsistent. If the same one or two mid-tier enemies are being pulled repeatedly and one suddenly does not respawn, this may indicate that the monarch or matriarch has spawned nearby.
When this happens, carefully search the surrounding area. The boss may spawn some distance away from the main farming spot, but each boss appears in a consistent location for its type.
Bosses are on a timer and may despawn if left alone too long.
If the group takes a break during the mid-tier stage, the area may reset back to the larvae stage. It is best to take breaks after killing a boss.
After a boss is defeated, that area may temporarily stop spawning larvae. When this happens, move to another insect area and continue farming there.
Recommended Farming Order
A smooth farming rotation is:
Rotating between the four areas helps avoid waiting on exhausted spawn cycles.
