Portal of Disease: Bertoxxulous Quest

Reward

Access to spawn Bertoxxulous

Walkthrough

This quest allows players to reach the Bertoxxulous lair and spawn Bertoxxulous in the Plane of Disease. Players must have completed the Plane of Disease: Noroxus Quest and have the Blood of Noroxus in order to open the portal.

Requirements

Before attempting this quest, players must have:

- Completed the Plane of Disease: Queen Qy'tha Quest
- Completed the Plane of Disease: Noroxus Quest
- Blood of Noroxus
- Queen Qy'tha's Stinger from Queen Qy'tha
- Positive faction with the Pulsings

Walkthrough

Step 1: Check Bertoxxulous Status

Speak with Overseer Yurgulch in the Plane of Disease to check if the following raid targets are currently up:

Step 2: Obtain the Queen Qy'tha Stinger

Defeat Queen Qy'tha and loot Queen Qy'tha's Stinger.

The Queen Qy'tha's Stinger is required to obtain the Bonescepter used to spawn Bertoxxulous.

Step 3: Speak with Witchdoctor Muglchlur

Travel to Witchdoctor Muglchlur, located near the Queen Qy'tha portal.

Give the Queen Qy'tha's Stinger from Queen Qy'tha to Witchdoctor Muglchlur.

If you have positive faction with the Pulsings, Witchdoctor Muglchlur will exchange the Queen Qy'tha's Stinger for a Bonescepter.

Step 4: Reach the Closed Portal

To reach the Bertoxxulous lair, travel around the circular path past Honcho Ulgurglch until you reach the Closed Portal (PoD).

Important: Do not open the portal until all raiders are assembled and ready to enter. Once opened, the portal remains active for 15 minutes.

The portal respawn is random and can take anywhere from 60 minutes to 3 hours.

Step 5: Open the Closed Portal

Speak with the Closed Portal (PoD) while carrying the Blood of Noroxus, requires completion of Plane of Disease: Noroxus Quest.

Opening the portal causes the Closed Portal (PoD) to despawn and the Bloody Portal to spawn in its place.

Use the Bloody Portal to enter the Bertoxxulous lair.

Step 6: Enter the Bertoxxulous Lair

Once the raid is ready, enter through the Bloody Portal.

Stay away from the edges of the area after zoning in.

Death touch wisps are located along the sides of the area and across the moat where Bertoxxulous spawns. These wisps are visible but cannot be conned.

Step 7: Spawn Bertoxxulous

Inside the lair, locate the Throne of Bertoxxulous.

If you can con the Throne of Bertoxxulous, then Bertoxxulous is spawnable.

Use the Bonescepter obtained from Witchdoctor Muglchlur at the Throne of Bertoxxulous to spawn Bertoxxulous.
