Walkthrough
This is the level 43 ability quest for players in the Eternal Desert. Royce Sandstalker sends players to recover items from Growthor, a Tomb Keeper, and a Tae Ew Scavenger before returning for a new ability.
Walkthrough
Step 1: Speak with Royce Sandstalker
Speak with Royce Sandstalker near the monk tower in the Eternal Desert.
The tower is located north and slightly west of the Oasis coachman.
Royce Sandstalker sends you to defeat Growthor, an evil treant in Tak'Xiz South.
Step 2: Defeat Growthor
Growthor can be found southwest of the Eternal Tower in the dead forest of Tak'Xiz South (NE).
He spawns in a steep valley with a large marker stone.
Defeat Growthor, loot the required item, and return to Royce Sandstalker.
Note: The Tae Ew Scavenger is also located in Tak'Xiz South, so players may choose to complete that step during the same trip.
Step 3: Defeat the Tomb Keeper
Royce Sandstalker sends you to the cultist barrow of Thenon the Wise to defeat an undead Tomb Keeper and recover sinew.
The barrow is located along the river between Forkwatch and Jared's Blight. The cave of the Deranged Cultists is east of Forkwatch, or south of Jared's Blight on the west bank of the river.
The cultists inside see through invisibility, include several casters, and may respawn immediately if looted. Avoid looting unnecessary enemies while moving through the barrow.
Enter the cave and proceed to the first room. Take the left hallway, then take the next left. This path leads directly to the room with the Tomb Keeper.
Warning: The Tomb Keeper is guarded by four level 44 ghouls.
Defeat the Tomb Keeper, loot the required sinew, and return to Royce Sandstalker.
Note: If you are a werebeast, using your first form may make the cultists neutral.
Quest Planning Note: The Tomb Keeper is located near Akuion, a named enemy required for the level 45 ability quest. Players may wish to advance this quest to the cultist barrow step, then log the level 45 ability quest so both enemies can be completed during the same trip.
Step 4: Defeat the Tae Ew Scavenger
Royce Sandstalker sends you to defeat a Tae Ew Scavenger in Tak'Xiz South (SW).
The Tae Ew Scavenger spawns in a Tae Ew camp. The surrounding enemies have a large aggro range, so approach carefully.
Defeat the Tae Ew Scavenger, loot the required item, and return to Royce Sandstalker.
Step 5: Speak with Ravarld
Royce Sandstalker sends you to Ravarld in Highpass Hold.
Ravarld can be found near the north gate.
Speak with Ravarld and pay him 2,652 Tunar.
Return to Royce Sandstalker in the Eternal Desert.
Step 6: Return to Royce Sandstalker
Speak with Royce Sandstalker to complete the quest.
Completing this quest rewards experience, an item reward, and a new ability.
