Walkthrough
This is the level 53 quest for players in Lavastorm Mountains. Minastikie discovers a damaged piece of a map tied to a powerful scepter and sends players across several regions to restore the map and recover its missing pieces.
Walkthrough
Step 1: Speak with Minastikie
Speak with Minastikie in Lavastorm Mountains (SE) to begin the quest.
To reach Minastikie, coach to Klick'Anon. From the coach, leave through the west gate and follow the mountains west.
Eventually, you will find a small shelter with a Waysender nearby. Speak with the Waysender if needed. Minastikie can be found in a hut to your right.
Minastikie explains that she found a piece of paper that may be part of a map to a powerful scepter. She sends you to Professor Cyrk in Freeport to learn more.
Step 2: Speak with Professor Cyrk
Travel to Freeport and locate Professor Cyrk near the Mages Guild, past the archway.
Professor Cyrk cannot read the paper because his glasses are broken. To repair them, he asks you to collect sand from a Sand Wasp.
Step 3: Defeat the Sand Wasp
Travel to South Barren Coast and search for a Sand Wasp.
Sand Wasp mobs can be found in South Barren Coast (C), South Barren Coast (E), or South Barren Coast (NE).
They con yellow at level 53 and are not difficult to defeat, but their spawn time may be long.
Defeat a Sand Wasp, loot the Sandy Carapace, and return to Professor Cyrk.
Step 4: Return to Minastikie
After receiving the Sandy Carapace, Professor Cyrk confirms that Minastikie was right about the map.
He sends you back to Minastikie in Lavastorm Mountains.
Speak with Minastikie. She tells you about recent strange sabotages and sends you to Exploring Aid Mixxa in Klick'Anon.
Step 5: Speak with Exploring Aid Mixxa
Travel to Klick'Anon and locate Exploring Aid Mixxa near the bridge at the entrance of the city.
Speak with Exploring Aid Mixxa. She asks you to defeat an Ancient Eel in Rogue Clockworks.
Step 6: Defeat the Ancient Eel
Travel to Rogue Clockworks (SE).
Find the Clockworks Village, then head straight east toward the coast. On the coast, you will see a small island. Swim east from the island toward the end of the zone.
The Ancient Eel spawns in the water north and south around this area.
The Ancient Eel cons yellow at level 53, has poison, and may be stronger than its con suggests.
Defeat the Ancient Eel, loot the required item, and return to Exploring Aid Mixxa.
Exploring Aid Mixxa sends you back to Minastikie, who then sends you back to Professor Cyrk.
Step 7: Gather Items for Professor Cyrk
Return to Professor Cyrk in Freeport.
He is still having trouble reading part of the map and asks for two items:
Step 8: Purchase the Cleaning Solution
Travel to Hagley and locate the merchant near the well in the northwest part of town.
Purchase the Cleaning Solution for 7,100 Tunar.
Step 9: Defeat the Swampfire Cobra
Travel to South Toxxulia and search for a Swampfire Cobra.
Swampfire Cobra mobs can be found in South Toxxulia (N) and South Toxxulia (NW).
They con yellow at level 53, have a strong poison damage-over-time effect, resist magic, and have high armor.
Defeat Swampfire Cobra mobs until a Swampfire Cobra Venom Sac drops.
Return to Professor Cyrk with the Cleaning Solution and Swampfire Cobra Venom Sac.
Step 10: Defeat the Ty'Rizeth Scout
After restoring part of the map, Professor Cyrk reveals that another missing piece can be found in Yavreh's Sanctuary.
Travel to Yavreh's Sanctuary in South Barren Coast (C), inside the underground temple.
As you approach the entrance, you will receive a pop-up. Kill enemies as you encounter them, but avoid looting unnecessary corpses.
Once inside, another pop-up will appear near the room where the Ty'Rizeth Scout spawns.
The placeholder for the Ty'Rizeth Scout is the middle mob in the room, the Artisan.
Clear the room and keep the corpses fresh while defeating the placeholder until the Ty'Rizeth Scout spawns.
Defeat the Ty'Rizeth Scout, loot the required map piece, and return to Professor Cyrk.
Note: Ty'Rizeth mobs cast fire spells. The Ty'Rizeth Scout may have a long spawn time.
Step 11: Gather the Final Map Pieces
Professor Cyrk restores the missing map piece and explains that the final two pieces can be found in Yavreh's Sanctuary and Geomancer's Citadel.
He sends you to collect two more items:
- A map piece from Ty'Rizeth Scavenger
- A map piece from Ancient Drudge
Step 12: Defeat the Ty'Rizeth Scavenger
Return to Yavreh's Sanctuary.
The Ty'Rizeth Scavenger is located northwest of the room where you defeated the Ty'Rizeth Scout.
Use invisibility if possible and move toward the bodyguards. You will receive a pop-up near the entrance to the correct room.
Inside the room, another pop-up will appear. Kill the enemies in the room, but leave them unlooted.
The placeholder for the Ty'Rizeth Scavenger is a Guardian toward the back of the room, inside the fenced area in a corner.
Defeat the placeholder until the Ty'Rizeth Scavenger spawns.
Defeat the Ty'Rizeth Scavenger and loot the required map piece.
Note: The Ty'Rizeth Scavenger may have a long spawn time.
Step 13: Defeat the Ancient Drudge
Travel to Geomancer's Citadel (C) to defeat the Ancient Drudge.
The best route is to run west from the Sphinx Pyramid through Lake Rathe. Once in Geomancer's Pass, stay along the mountainsides as much as possible to avoid hostile enemies.
Continue heading west to the coast, then follow the coast north to Geomancer's Citadel.
The Ancient Drudge cons yellow at level 53 and can heal. Undead nukes work well against it.
Defeat the Ancient Drudge and loot the required map piece.
Step 14: Return to Professor Cyrk
Return to Professor Cyrk in Freeport with both final map pieces.
Professor Cyrk gives you the restored map and a note for Minastikie.
Step 15: Return to Minastikie
Return to Minastikie in Lavastorm Mountains with the restored map and note.
Speak with her to complete the quest and receive 45,000,000 XP and a class-specific reward.
Notes
- Sand Wasp mobs may have a long spawn time.
- Ancient Eel has poison and may be stronger than its con suggests.
- Swampfire Cobra mobs have a strong poison damage-over-time effect, high armor, and magic resistance.
- In Yavreh's Sanctuary, avoid looting unnecessary corpses to help control respawns.
- Both Ty'Rizeth Scout and Ty'Rizeth Scavenger may have long spawn times.
- Ancient Drudge can heal, and undead damage works well against it.
