Walkthrough
This is the Cleric Exemplar quest. Players are tested through preservation and judgment before choosing between the path of Aegis of Faith or the path of Judgment of Faith.
Important: Players may only choose one path. Once a path is chosen, the decision cannot be undone.
Walkthrough
Step 1: Speak with Priest of Marr or Priest of Innoruuk
Speak with your aligned priest to begin the quest.
Good-aligned players should speak with Priest of Marr.
Evil-aligned players should speak with Priest of Innoruuk.
The priest sends you to seek someone who understands faith through action rather than instruction.
Step 2: Speak with Zarakiel
Find and speak with Zarakiel.
Zarakiel sends you to locate those who linger between life and death and restore them.
Step 3: Restore the Wounded Survivors
Find Wounded Survivor NPCs and heal them.
After healing a Wounded Survivor, interact with them to receive a quest item.
Collect the following quest items:
After collecting all six Token of Gratitude items, return to Zarakiel.
Step 4: Return to Zarakiel
Return to Zarakiel with the six Token of Gratitude items.
After the turn-in, return to your aligned priest.
Step 5: Return to Priest of Marr or Priest of Innoruuk
Return to Priest of Marr or Priest of Innoruuk.
The priest sends you beyond the starting lands to seek someone who understands the burden of ending what should no longer remain.
Step 6: Speak with Justicar Vaelen
Find and speak with Justicar Vaelen.
Justicar Vaelen sends you into the depths beneath the Erudite lands to bring lingering remains to rest.
Step 7: Collect Faded Essence
Defeat the required lingering enemies and collect the following quest items:
After collecting all six Faded Essence items, return to Justicar Vaelen.
Step 8: Return to Justicar Vaelen
Return to Justicar Vaelen with the six Faded Essence items.
After the turn-in, return to your aligned priest.
Step 9: Choose Your Path
Return to Priest of Marr or Priest of Innoruuk.
At this point, you must choose one of two paths:
- Aegis of Faith
- Judgment of Faith
Important: This choice is permanent and cannot be undone.
Path One: Aegis of Faith
Step 10A: Choose Aegis of Faith
Choose the Aegis of Faith path.
The priest sends you to Diren's Village to seek one of Zarakiel's disciples.
Step 11A: Speak with Disciple of Zarakiel
Travel to Diren's Village and speak with Disciple of Zarakiel.
The disciple asks you to continue proving your devotion to preservation.
Step 12A: Earn Devoted of the Aegis Faction
Continue restoring Wounded Survivor NPCs and collecting Token of Gratitude items.
Turn in the required items to increase your standing with Devoted of the Aegis.
Accepted turn-in item:
Faction gain:
- 4 items = 40 faction with Devoted of the Aegis
Continue turn-ins until you reach 2,000 faction with Devoted of the Aegis.
Step 13A: Return to Disciple of Zarakiel
After reaching 2,000 faction with Devoted of the Aegis, return to Disciple of Zarakiel.
The disciple sends you back to your aligned priest.
Step 14A: Claim the Aegis of Faith Reward
Return to Priest of Marr or Priest of Innoruuk.
Completing this path unlocks the Aegis of Faith reward through a Class Master.
Path Two: Judgment of Faith
Step 10B: Choose Judgment of Faith
Choose the Judgment of Faith path.
The priest sends you back to Justicar Vaelen.
Step 11B: Speak with Justicar Vaelen
Speak with Justicar Vaelen.
He asks you to continue bringing rest to those who linger beyond their rightful time.
Step 12B: Earn Tribunal of Reckoning Faction
Continue defeating the required lingering enemies and collecting Faded Essence items.
Turn in the required items to increase your standing with Tribunal of Reckoning.
Accepted turn-in item:
Faction gain:
- 4 items = 40 faction with Tribunal of Reckoning
Continue turn-ins until you reach 2,000 faction with Tribunal of Reckoning.
Step 13B: Return to Justicar Vaelen
After reaching 2,000 faction with Tribunal of Reckoning, return to Justicar Vaelen.
He sends you back to your aligned priest.
Step 14B: Claim the Judgment of Faith Reward
Return to Priest of Marr or Priest of Innoruuk.
Completing this path unlocks the Judgment of Faith reward through a Class Master.
Notes
- This quest is only available to Cleric players.
- Good-aligned players begin with Priest of Marr.
- Evil-aligned players begin with Priest of Innoruuk.
- Players must choose either the Aegis of Faith path or the Judgment of Faith path.
- Once chosen, the path cannot be changed.
- The Aegis of Faith path requires 2,000 faction with Devoted of the Aegis.
- The Judgment of Faith path requires 2,000 faction with Tribunal of Reckoning.
