Walkthrough
This is the level 45 ability quest for players in North Wilderlands. Gate Guard Parilin sends players through the Black Gate of Muan'Diel to Mila's Reef, where Old Man Antiok assigns several tasks before sending them to defeat Akuion.
Walkthrough
Step 1: Speak with Gate Guard Parilin
Speak with Gate Guard Parilin on the ground floor of the southwest tower in Castle Lightwolf.
Gate Guard Parilin sends you to speak with the Black Gate of Muan'Diel.
Step 2: Use the Black Gate of Muan'Diel
Speak with the Black Gate of Muan'Diel.
The gate teleports you to Mila's Reef, placing you in the ocean near a set of dragon bones.
Climb up the nearest rib and speak with Old Man Antiok.
Step 3: Defeat Marrow Maw
Old Man Antiok gives you three tasks.
For the first task, he sends you to defeat Marrow Maw, a squid found below his location.
Defeat Marrow Maw, loot the required item, and return to Old Man Antiok.
Note: Marrow Maw has poison. If you die, you can return by resurrecting, speaking with the portal again, or traveling back to Mila's Reef.
Quest Planning Note: Kratas also spawns in this area. Players may wish to log that quest while they are here.
Step 4: Defeat Captain Soohn
For the second task, Old Man Antiok sends you to defeat Captain Soohn.
Captain Soohn can be found on a nearby island north of Old Man Antiok. Other pirates are also present on the island.
Defeat Captain Soohn, loot the required item, and return to Old Man Antiok.
Step 5: Purchase the Coals
For the third task, Old Man Antiok sends you to a lighthouse to the north.
Travel to the lighthouse and purchase the required coals for 2,900 Tunar.
A merchant is located at the lighthouse if you need to sell extra items to afford the coals.
Return to Old Man Antiok after purchasing the coals.
Step 6: Defeat Akuion
After completing the three tasks, Old Man Antiok sends you to defeat Akuion.
Akuion is located in the same cultist barrow used during the level 43 Royce Sandstalker quest.
To find Akuion, enter the cave. In the first room of the barrow, take the left hallway, then take the right hallway. Akuion is a triggered spawn in this area.
Defeat Akuion, loot the required item, and return to Gate Guard Parilin in Castle Lightwolf.
Note: The cultists inside the barrow see through invisibility, include several casters, and may immediately respawn if looted. Avoid looting unnecessary enemies while moving through the cave.
Werebeast Note: If you are a werebeast, using your first form may make the cultists neutral.
Step 7: Speak with Gate Guard Chastis
After returning to Gate Guard Parilin, he sends you to Gate Guard Chastis for your reward.
Speak with Gate Guard Chastis to complete the quest and receive 6,722,242 XP, an item reward, and your new ability.
